Joel Smouha leads Austrade’s hydrogen investment and offtake work. Attracting major international players to invest in Australia’s hydrogen industry, as well as connecting Australian projects with international investors and off-takers.

Joel works to connect Australian and international companies to enable global trade in hydrogen and its derivatives.

With a master’s degree in international trade law, Joel has over 17 years’ experience in international trade and investment having worked both in private and public sectors in energy, mining and industrial sectors.
