Dr Steven Percy is a Senior Research Fellow at the Victorian Hydrogen Hub (VH2) at the Swinburne University of Technology. Steven leads VH2’s research program in hydrogen modelling. His pivotal work is centred around evaluating Australia’s capacity to emerge as a global leader in low-cost green hydrogen production, with a specialised emphasis on decarbonising the transport sector. Steven is the CEO and Founder of Adaptive Hydrogen Pty Ltd, a company developing optimal control systems for hydrogen production facilities. He received his PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of Melbourne and has about 15 years’ experience in the energy industry blending academic rigor with practical industry insights; holding positions at CSIRO, Victoria University, IBM research, UC Berkeley and industry consulting. Steven is a 2020 Winston Churchill Memorial Trust Fellow in hydrogen research.
