Gary Foster is Manager of NSW Government, Office of Energy and Climate Change’s Hydrogen Programs team. Based in Sydney for the last two years, he is responsible for managing grant funding for the State’s pioneering hydrogen hub and refuelling network initiatives.
Gary trained as a mechanical and aeronautical engineer with a B. Eng. from University of London and qualifications in Management, Marketing & Digital disruption. He has 30 years of experience, in both the public and private sectors, in Australia and internationally.
He has led a varied career, which has both informed and benefitted his hydrogen role. This includes experience in development of a multi-billion dollar helicopter program, one of the largest wind farm projects in South Asia, low carbon technology funding of numerous ventures, global engineering and environmental consultancy, and the industrial water treatment sector.
