After getting his bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Leno started as a water treatment engineer.

In this role, he provided specialty chemicals to various industrial markets before moving on to standard packaged plant projects with US Filter group, and later into complex project solutions with the acquisition of US Filter by Veolia. Leno has been involved in a number of water treatment projects particularly to the mining, power, oil and gas, pharmaceutical and chemical processing industries.

This experience led him to fill the role of Client Executive Manager for industrial markets specialising in mining and hydrogen sectors. In the last two years Leno has led the hydrogen activities for Australia, for the study, application and promotion of technologies applicable by Veolia Water Technologies in the hydrogen sector.
